Already 6 months old!


So life with Izzy Bug continues to be a wonderful experience, only the days are flying by too quickly! I am racking my brain, trying to figure out who sitting on the fast forward button on life's remote and wondering how can I get them to stop it!!

A week or so ago, we took Izzy to her 6 month check up and she did great! It's strange feeling to me every time we go to the Ped, because that means I, in fact, have a child - a tiny little person who fully depends on Robert & I to take care of her...and it means she has reached another milestone. Some days its hard to believe that we have a child, or that my little 7 lb peanut already weighs 18 lbs and can sit up on her own, eat food, and almost crawl!! She also is working on a tooth. It's been poking through for a few weeks now, just a little snaggletooth- but man is it sharp! She deals with it pretty well, and only occasionally seems annoyed at the pain. Even when she doesn't feel good, she always manages to smile. It is the best thing to see her face light up as she smiles, definitely makes you feel all warm & fuzzy and that life is good!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
