showing off Florida: Wakulla Springs

My Mom, Sister, Brother & Nephews came to visit us in October. There was a lot of hanging out, but also a bit of showing off Florida on their visit too. With 3 active kiddos and 1 infant, it made for interesting day trips, but we are an active family and it was good to get out in nature together.
The 3 big kids in front of the Wakulla Lodge

In front on Old Joe and some funny paintings. Tarzan and the Creature from the Black Lagoon were filmed here.

Everyone loves an ice cream treat!

Boiled peanuts are a favorite among these parts.

Ice cream faces!

Ready to ride the Jungle Boat

Manatees in the wild!

It was pretty cool to see the Manatee floating leisurely in the river.

Such a beautiful sanctuary.

We spotted lots of big 'gators!

My sweet Momma!

Uncle Mark enjoyed some quiet time.

Izzy got to skip school. She took it upon herself to write out every bird and animal that we saw. Proud of my smart girl!

The Boys make themselves comfy anywhere!

The lodge from the other side of the Springs. Such a pretty place!

The water stays 69 year round but the kids still wanted to swim. It was  about 74 outside.

After, we enjoyed a late lunch at the Midtown Caboose! A Tallahassee favorite!
