Atlanta 2011 aquarium

Atlanta Aquarium did not dissapoint. We spent a Saturday morning there with Mim & Papa, and had an amazing time! Izzy was in love with all the sea life and seemed to have a lot of favorites.
Izzy was always by Papa's side.
The aquariums were all different and had lots of different vantage points
Izzy seemed extra tiny in the biggest aquarium, which had a whale shark - the biggest species of fish in the world!
It was a huge place to explore "under the sea"

Izzy has no fear when it comes to touching slimy anemones or scratchy starfish
The beluga whales were so cute
Izzy really enjoyed the penguins
Her absolute favorite was the dolphin show we got to see - she sat still for the entire show and afterward could not stop talking about how the mommy's rode the dolphins (the trainers rode the dolphins a lot)
Mim had a it all planned out and we even went to see a 3D movie
Izzy wasn't sure about the 3D glasses at first, but did enjoy the movie with her Papa!
I know we were all worn out but it was definitely a great experience and I'm sure Izzy won't forget all the sea life she saw there!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Excited that Cheree and Daniel came too Learning all about Mac Books from Uncle D Laughing when Grandpa makes animal noises, another favorite for Izzy Ahhh ...my daily scene of frustration - wish she would listen to us and NOT stand on chairs every chance she gets...but naturally standing is always more fun than sitting for this daredevil, so we're working on that...

Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
