Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a SPOOK-Tacular Halloween this year! I know Izzy sure did!!
October was one crazy busy month for us -Fall Fest, Trunk or Treat, Halloween, school parties and all the fun activities to squeeze in to celebrate the holiday! Seems like we literally had something going on every one of the 31 days this month!!
We were so busy that we ran out of time to go to a pumpkin patch this year! (won't miss that again though, we loved it last year!!)
One of my favorite memories for Halloween this year is that Izzy sang "Happy Birthday Pumpkin" to the pumpkins as we carved them! It was precious! She loves having a holiday to celebrate (and eat lots of CANDY!!)

Our little pony! She took several trips to the store before she choose this cute pink pony as her costume this year. Later she decided she wanted to be a cowgirl, (thank-you Toy Story!)

Waahaaahahahah...(evil laugh). Izzy says let the pumpkin carving begin!

She had a great time carving pumpkins this year! Oh, and yes her hair is the unruliest it has ever been - I'm working up the nerve to cut it for the first time!

Daddy getting us all started with the pumpkins! What would we do without him!?!
Mommy and Izzy working on carving Izzy's pumpkin, a goofy face. Naturally Izzy was very interested in how we took his eyes and nose out... Love making memories with this one...never a dull moment!

Izzy with her 2's class at MDO celebrated with a Halloween Party on Monday. Fun. Fun.
I was happy to go watch Izzy have fun with all her classmates at MDO. She really was happy to see me there, but kept herself busy with all the games!

She loved diggin' for bones! No clue why she likes half the stuff she does :)
One of her other favorite games was decorating pumpkins with what else - stickers!!

On Halloween night, we met at a church friends' house for Chili before heading out with this fun crew to TRICK or TREAT.
(It was our first year to go, officially from door to door - we found out it's plain exhausting!!)

Lots of little kids + candy + staying out late = what the heck were we thinking!!!
Kidding...we really did have a really fun time and most important, Izzy had a blast and loved all the fun!

trick or treating with a cupcake and Miss Blueberry! I love all the fun adorable costumes!...
One tired, but happy pony by the end of the night!

Earlier in the month, we went to the annual Trunk or Treat at our Church...

Our sweet little cowgirl at CPCC Trunk or Treat! She was HILARIOUS! She ran all around saying Giddy up, Giddy up, Ye HAW! She had a tough outfit to wrangle - pony in front, hat and a candy bag - she was a trooper with keeping it all together, but kept dropping her candy bag and instead would go and grab a piece of candy and just eat it on the spot!

Izzy & some of her buds at trunk or treat

Tow-Mater truck came too! Loved that!!

After making her candy rounds, she got all sugared up and became Izzy: the cowgirl with a free spirited horse!

She really made a perfect cowgirl, running all over with her pony in full speed!

And not to leave out Baby Brother.... we also had JACK-O-BABY!
Izzy had to have a pumpkin painted on like Mommy!

Oh the things to do with your 2 year old!

She loved this little activity and did not want the experience to end. I'm happy to say it went fairly smootlhly, and yes, the paint washed off with no problems (it was face paint).
Mommy with her 2 kiddos...yes, Izzy sits on top of brother when I carry her these days! He is getting to be so big! 26 weeks at Halloween!

I'm thankful we had a fun and safe October again this year...we also squeezed in a homemade pumpkin pie (thanks Robert!) and lots of apple cider, hot chocolate & pumpkin spice lattes from SB - YUMMY! I am loving this cooler weather that seems here to stay and all the beautiful oranges, yellows, and reds I'm seeing when I step out the front door. It's a truly beautiful time of year to enjoy!
