Goodbye Elijah Ct

Our transition to Florida thankfully went very smoothly (considering we did the move by ourselves). The kids came down 3 days before we did with the grandparents, which allowed us to get it all done (by some big miracle!) They had a great week and didn't got homesick at all. We missed them and kept thinking something was wrong because it was always so quiet! 

We sold our beautiful Nashville home on Elijah Ct and hope to downsize to a smaller Tallahassee home sometime soon. After all, we really didn't need 3 living rooms, 3 bathrooms and 5 bedrooms  for just the 4 of us. It's funny how things change - we moved here when Izzy was only 1 year old and I still thought we might have 4 kids. But as busy as our kids are (and how tough it is for me to deliver babies), I think we are happy with 2 healthy, happy kids! 

Anyways, our Nashville home has been a blessing for our families to be able to come and visit here and now that it has sold, it has paid off ALL our school loans, which feels amazing!  So while we will miss our Elijah home, we are looking forward to starting over (debt-free) in a much smaller home soon.

A few last pictures at our Elijah house. I only get sad when I think of the kids --and really hope they won't miss the only home they've known. So far, they still seem content, regardless of where we live.

Not sure how we got so lucky, but the kids didn't show a hint of sadness with the move. This made our lives a lot easier. Izzy's only request is that she gets a pink bunk bed in the new house.
I think we will be able to handle that!

...Moving day was a bit overwhelming when we tried to decide if everything we owned would fit into one semi-truck. We just barely made it -and in the end left a table, 4 chairs, and a king headboard behind for people to come and get. Otherwise, everything we own was literally in the moving truck! So weird, but also liberating to have been able to downsize so much. I really want to try avoiding collecting more stuff!

We are so grateful that our investment paid off about 20 years of  school loans we had remaining!

And now we start over in Tallahassee, which hopefully will go smoothly. At least we are starting out with a strong church community, family and even some friends too.
