Thankful to be home.

This Thanksgiving we got to celebrate by moving into our new home. Literally - the day before Turkey Day, we were able to stay in our new house. We moved everything over from our storage unit on Saturday and then several days of torrential rain hit Tallahassee hard, which stalled us getting our bed moved in...but that gave us lots of rainy days to unpack and get set up. It has been an early Christmas of sorts for us and the kids to see all of our belongings again (many of which have been packed up over 8 months). We are happy to have our own space again and it is starting to feeling like a home already!


We still have some finishing touches to do and things to get up on the walls, but already I feel like we are 90% unpacked. The place is perfect and I'm so glad we have a place to call "ours" again!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
