Family Time


This past weekend, we went to Nashville to meet up with my sister, Cheree & her husband Daniel and my brother, Mark, as well as the Allgood fam. It is kinda weird to be the first to have a kid in your family, especially since I used to copy so much of what my big sister did. My 1st 4 jobs were her 1st 4 jobs, going to HU, traveling overseas, etc. To switch things up, I had kids before Cheree! :) not a big deal, but it is a unusual thing for me to do. I do hope Izzy has cousins one day. For now, she is enjoying being the only baby in the family for what looks like will be a long time! I look forward to living less than 9 hrs from my sister so that Izzy grow up knowing her Aunts & Uncles well. Lets shoot for less than 1 hour away! Good to see all of you!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
