Izzy loves the lake

Percy Priest Lake...10 minutes from our house is definetly where Izzy wants to be this summer! She asked me almost everyday to go swimming at the beach! It's a bit tough to take her myself, so we usually went with days Daddy could go too.

As soon as she is out of the car, Izzy grabs her lifevest and runs for the water!
A perk of the lake is that she gets to watch the ducks floating around. She loves ducks.

Amazingly enough when she falls or slips in the water, she turns on her back and floats, even though the life vest is too big! She squeals for daddy or mommy to get her, but doesn't mind floating until we do get her. It's been a good way to introduce her to swimming. I'm hoping next summer to get her in swimming lessons since she loves the water so much!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
