Growing up fast
Robert took Izzy to school on Tuesday. It had rained all night before. And on their way inside, Izzy walked in a (very deep) puddle and got mud splashed up to her knees and on her hands. She responded to Robert "Messy" and wiped her hands. She is starting to learn about puddles and it makes me smile. It's the simple things!
As far as her vocab goes, she will mostly just respond to my questions with no, okay, please or repeat the word I used if she wants that. But the fact that she answers appropriately is amazing to me.
Some other new things (at 19 months) are:
As far as her vocab goes, she will mostly just respond to my questions with no, okay, please or repeat the word I used if she wants that. But the fact that she answers appropriately is amazing to me.
Some other new things (at 19 months) are:
*She tells us when she has to go potty, but hardly will go on the potty, she just wants us to know so we can change her diaper.
*She is using a fork and spoon on her own.
*She will bring us objects we ask her to bring us (remote, blanket, phone - which is very handy)
*When I was sleeping the other day, she got up early but I didn't have the energy to get out of bed, so I put a movie on in my room and told Izzy not to leave my room. She watched the movie for awhile, then tinkered around my room, but didn't leave it.
*She likes to imitate mommy a lot, she "puts on deodorant" usually with other bathroom items like my contact lens' cases as she watches me do that each morning. She also likes to get my straightner (unplugged and not hot) and pretends to straighten her hair.
*She puts on every pair of shoes she can find, and then likes to line them all up when she's done (or will put them away in the closet).
When we say it's time to go bye-bye, she's say "Go, Car?" and walks over to the car, can open the door, climb in and get in her carseat by herself. When we get home, she likes to play like she is sitting on the seat (without her carseat) and watch her movie. She spends a lot of time exploring the dashbord.
*Also, when we get home, she likes to get out, go over to the garage door button and stand and says, "Door" until we pick her up so she can press it to close the door.
*She continues to show an interest in dogs and stands at the window to watch the neighbor dog. When she goes outside, she comes running to tell me "Puppup 'side (puppy's outside) and then walks over to see him.
*She pushes around her baby in a play stroller and/or carseat and feeds her baby whatever snacks she has. She is always putting her baby to sleep by covering her with a blanket and saying "Night-night". She also chats to her baby and says "Okay, okay" while patting her head frequently, as well as giving her lots of hugs and kisses.
*She wants to give everyone (and every stuffed animal, or picture in a book) a hug and says "Huuuug" before she does it.
That is a quick update on our loveable sweet Izzybug! She definetly enjoys the simple things in life!
