Mim & Papa

It's been awhile, but we finally got to see Roberts' parents again! Mim & Papa flew up for the weekend before Valentines and we enjoyed spending some time with them. Izzy was attached to both of them after the first 5 minutes. She was really cute calling their names out and curling up on the couch with them. She had us all laughing at her antics and little comments as she played.
She wouldn't let Papa out of her sight and when she got tired, she tried to act like she wasn't so she could stay up a little longer to be with them. It was sweet. It was fun. We're so glad they came.

She climbed up on the couch and curled up between them right away.
And then she laughed and laughed at her silly Papa. She sure does love him!
Izzy really wanted to show them the snow. Specifically, how to eat the snow.

It was Cold on Saturday, but at least it was SUNNY all weekend!

After they left Izzy woke up from her nap and looked all around the house for them, calling their names. We'll be counting the days until we go see them in March, I guess!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
