Oranges, Oh MY

Well our first adventure with something up the nose has happened. Today while snacking on an orange, she randomly managed to sniff a small piece of orange peel up her nose! I saw her about to do it and felt like I was in slow motion trying to get her to stop. But up it went before I could get to her. Then she pushed it up further! We tried to get it out with no luck. Right as we were both starting to freak out, she sneezed. And that might be the last time she eats an orange. She was mad at that orange! Too bad because she sure does love them! We'll have to see if she forgets the incident (I'm hoping she'll forget she can shove things up there at least!!)
In other news, she loves having her toes painted and refuses to wear socks, shoes or jammies that cover her feet. She proudly goes around and shows everyone her pretty toes!

I love 'em too! It's sooo much fun to have a girl!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
