pretty girl wont sit still

I would love to be a better photographer, but for now I'm a complete amature who enjoys taking pictures of my cute kiddo! But sometimes I just wish I was an awesome pro who knew how to get kids to be still and at least look at the camera!

I was trying so hard to take come cute pictures of her at Harding (our Alma Mater) at 21 months, but Izzy was just too busy. I tried to get some photos anyway, but had NO LUCK at all! These are the pictures I got. Oh well. Maybe some day one of my wish will come true and I'll get gorgeous snaps of my kids in beautiful places!
I get that she was interested in the water, but was hoping she might look at me once or twice at least! sheesh!

then the thumb came out
Haha...looks like she saw a ghost. She was actually watching some students and started making random faces at her. I was CRACKING up! they all teased each other it was their fault she looked at them like this!
...followed by a cute grin of course. She has so many expressions!
There's that tongue of her sneaking out!
...and then she went for a walk!
the only time she looked at me and smiled!
I still love ya baby girl, but someday I'll figure out how to get some really great pictures made of you!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
