An incredible hike

Howth is a 10 minute drive from C & M's apartment. Basically a mini version of what much of the West Coast looks like. Someday I'd love to go back and go to the West Coast (specifically the famous cliffs of Moher) but it just wasn't in the cards for a trip with a tiny tot!

So to Howth we went and hiked 5+ miles to see incredible sights of Ireland. It was my favorite day. (Which says a lot since I'm not a huge hiking fan these days).
We hiked the coastal side first, then went back down to the town of Howth for Fish & Chips (YUM!) and then on the other part of the island was the Rotadendrum trail with some amazing flowers and views as well! So jealous that Craig & Mer hike here each week!

I'll just let the photos describe the beauty there because I just think it was amazing and words won't do it justice!
After the Seaside, we hiked back down and drown to the town of Howth for yummy fish & chips!


Feeling refreshed and back to the other side of the Island to hike one of the prettiest flower trails I've ever seen!




This was a true highlight for us on the trip! Thanks for taking us hiking guys!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
