Off to Dublin!

As if May hasn't been busy enough, I went ahead and convinced Robert it's a good time to take a family vacation - my style (big trip overseas)!...I think I must have lost my mind when I picked this month to travel...hoping to remember that in the future. We've been so busy with our everyday routines we are pretty worn out these days. So I'm hoping a little rest and relaxation will help relieve some of our stresses and we can enjoy the rest of the summer doing all the fun activities that come with the summer season!
My main worry about the trip is that Izzy won't do well with losing some sleep over there and the flights will include her screaming the whole time. We both are praying hard she behaves and sleeps. I guess we will tag team with her if things get crazy! We pretty much bought everything we could think of to keep her entertained on the trip. Our bags are packed and I am actually lugging a BIG bag of toys overseas. Hope it does the trick!!
It will be especially awesome to see our friends, Craig & Merschon again and catch up a bit (Skype just isn't the same). I'm pretty sure we could just hang out with them anywhere and have a good time. The fact that they live in Dublin is pretty sweet too!
All set to go to Ireland this time tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
