Mothers Day 2011

I worked the night before Mothers Day (as a favor to another co-worker) but got to come home early. I found this waiting for me at 4:30am! It was a very nice surprise - I snapped a picture and went to bed for a few hours.

Being a Mom is amazing. Exhausting at times, but simply amazing. I love every minute of it!
then I got to open up my gifts - I had wondered what on earth the big box was. It said "This will help you play with me easier" so I thought it was a toy to play with Izzy. (Thanks to sleep deprivation), I was totally surprised when I actually opened it to find this cool coffee maker!
My little monkey wanted my flowers!
...and now I get to enjoy cups of coffee easily whenever I want! Thanks Izzy & Daddy!
I love you both so much! Thanks for my gifts & cards and your all your love!!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
