Sledding without snow !?!

Doesn't this look like the happiest child ever?
On Saturday morning I woke up to a very happy Izzy and company. No surprise there, Izzy keeps everyone smiling and in good spirits. What I was surprised to hear about is how they'd let Izzy "Sled" down our front yard - a big hill. In Nashville. In November. With no snow :)
I guess with extra boxes around, an outgoing fun Papa, who needs snow ? Just head down the hill on grass. From the looks of it, Izzy enjoys sledding a whole lot!

Then off they go -and they go pretty fast!

Finally, she gets to do it by herself! She seemed to LOVE that!
Now everytime Izzy sees the boxes in the garage or the front yard, she tries to get us to take her down the hill! She's gonna love it when she can sled in the snow!

    I haven't tried it, but Izzy FLYs down the hill! She loves it! We really did have a good visit! It was nice to have them here!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
