Mim & Papa and Bma came to visit us in our new house this weekend. We were so excited to have them come see our new home for the first time (and also for Izzy to get to spend time with them). We haven't got to visit Robert's grandma, Bma a lot lately so it was a treat for her to come up with the Stewarts'! Izzy watched Bma the first day very closely, but by Friday night she curled up on her lap while watching a movie that night (while Robert and I snuck away for a dinner date). I know Bma enjoyed that!
Robert with his grandmother and Izzy -too busy playing to take photos, of course!

Bma brought Izzy the cutest monkey puppet - Izzy was very excited to get a monkey!
Izzy now makes the Uoo Uoo Eee Eee sound when we say, "where's the monkey?" she also knows its a puppet and puts it on her own arm. -simply adorable!
I love that Bma knows how kids are and always goes with Izzy's antics. It's so special.
Izzy loved all the extra attention for sure! She showed them all around HER house!

The window ledge is a perfect seat for Izzy
During the day, Friday, Papa got Izzy up bright and early to play (Naturally, she had a blast with him) and played non stop all morning. They played outdoors and indoors until she was about worn out. She ended up taking a 3+ hour nap and went to bed early that night too! We took a trip to the hardware store where we picked out things to redo the downstairs bathroom. Lee took on this project for the rest of the weekend - Izzy was around to supervise, of course and enjoyed sticking her hand in the toilet and sink as they were removed from the wall. I love how the bathroom turned out and am very thankful they were able to finish a room for us! My parents-in-law are so sweet to help us out so much! THANK You!!Learning from Papa how the toilet flushes (for real!)

The finished bathroom is so nice and serene. I love it!

Izzy thought the old light fixtures were pretty cool. Bma had fun entertaining Izzy with them too.

Reading books with Mim

After such a long day of play, Izzy was tired enough to actually sit still. (this never happens in our house)

Lots of sweet moments with Mim. So sweet.

Izzy always wants her company to watch her movies with her :)

Mim brought some fun new warm clothes and hat for Izzy which is always fun. Dress up, anyone?

My little Goofball!

Going full speed in life while trying to renovate/redecorate a house has proven to be exhaustive and not terribly productive. The Stewarts gave us lots of ideas as well as reminded us to just take the house projects one room at a time. So that is we plan to do now - take one room at a time and do what we can until it's finished. I think things will go a lot better and not overwhelm me so much.
We look forward to a day when we are finished with projects and unpacking, but we are enjoying having more and more of a routine. However, if any visitors ever want to come, we love that too. Anyone is welcome to drop by for a weekend visit anytime! Just know that the weekend will fly by!
the hat pics of Izzy are adorable!
