Houston, we have patio furniture

When I woke up from my nap & came down for dinner, Izzy had my shoes ready for me & was saying she was tray to go outside to eat. Little did I know, it was because daddy had picked up patio furniture today AND worked hard to set it all up to surprise me for dinner!! It was a wonderful surprise!! Thank you sweetie!!

We are forever watching Izzy run barefoot (but still on those tippy toes!) all over the yard. I'm soooo glad to have a nice comfy place to sit with some ice tea or coffee to watch her play to her hearts content.
Flame-grilled burgers cooked by the best chef ever! I am such a lucky girl!
If you ever want a huge half-pound burger, come on over - Robert loves to cook them.
Izzy loves it when Daddy grills her corn on the cob! (And her hair was in a pony-tail before it decided to take over her whole head!)
I know we will be spending a lot of time out there, especially now that Fall seems to be here and the temps are cooler (definitely my kind of weather!)

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
