Izzy doesn't let go without a fight!

One of Izzy's birthday gifts was a swimming pool - complete with palm tree top. I made sure to get her a pool because Izzy LOVES being in water. And our first time to use it, we learned just how much she loves water - she doesn't even care if she gets thrown around by a hose, she'll hold on and keep playing!!
I was in the process up filling up her pool for the first time when Izzy was practically jumping on it, so I went ahead and her play around in it while the hose was still filling going strong. Izzy, being a strong girl that she is, of course picked up the hose and played with it.

But then she tried to stick her hand in it, get a drink of water, and it got a bit out of hand for her at that point...
Izzy, however, was a tough girl, and held on tight! As I ran to turn the water on, Mom ran to make sure she was okay, and Mark caught a few pictures on camera....

She fell back, stabilized herself, got over the shock and continued to play. She is one incredible 12 month old! She was already back to her happyself within a minute!
She loves her pool.
We love the summer!

    I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbyes. Things were pretty crazy and hectic for awhile. Living in Nashville now and enjoying that! I hope you & MC are doing well! looking forward to seeing photos of her soon!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
