A week without Daddy...

is a very LONG and SAD week...

This past week, Robert headed back to Memphis to sit in his last grad school class - ever (I hope!), and that meant our first week without Daddy around!!!
Izzy and I miss Robert soooo much, it's not even funny. It has been tough because Robert is amazing and does so much for both Izzy and I each day, but also because we both just love to be around him. He keeps me smiling and laughing and no matter what I'm doing, he's a part of it somehow, helping me out or supporting me. I am extremely thankful I have him in my life. He is my best friend and I miss being around him.
I also have no idea how to do the Wii, the Xbox360, switch the DVD/Wii out, fix the computer speakers since the sound isn't working or Izzy's DVD player in the car - I desperately need him back to take care of all of that techno stuff for me too!!!
Izzy definitely misses him - she has been looking all over for him each day, especially when she wakes up from her naps. It is sweet, but I am glad she will see him soon. It breaks my heart to be gone to work and have Robert gone too, but she has done very well with so much change. She is a sweetheart.

I know Robert misses us more and tomorrow, we get to see him! Yay!! Can't hardly wait!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
