getting ready for baby...


In no time at all, Robert & I got really excited about having a baby. In December we learned it was a GIRL it made everything seem so much more real! I started feeling her move (coolest feeling in the world) and by January Robert got to feel her moving all over too - sooo special! we no longer needed the tv for entertainment, we just started watching my belly! we were very busy getting her nursery ready. Craig & Merschon helped Robert paint it crocidile smile (green). One day Robert came home with a hot pink shag rug because I had mentioned it would be cute for the nursery - I love him! we truley had an absolute blast getting ready to have a baby home. We were all set by March, but with 15 weeks to go! then we had to name her. what's in a name??? well a lot - its a person's name FOREVER!! slightly intimidating to choose and hard to agree on most names! we actually had several names picked out for years, but all of a sudden, they weren't quite fitting. Robert came up with her name- Isabella Marie and I LOVE it! - Isabella means devoted to God. Marie is a family name. so sweet!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
