The Waiting game…


The pregnancy was a whirlwind – just flew by until May… then time seemed to stand still. Nursery set up, check. Carseat in car, check. Diapers, check. Ready to meet Isabella? Check! It seemed like we just waited and waited and waited. I figured with as active as I stayed I'd go into early labor for sure - but I never did! I worked up until Friday June 5th - a day before my due date and never had any trouble - and no swelling. How did I get so lucky? I was thankful to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby girl and also to be able to continue to work until she arrived - another blessing from God!

We celebrated my 26th birthday with friends, playing games and eating carrot cake- yum! When I was 38 weeks along, we celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary…eating out at Shoguns (I ate the entire portion and extra – how? I don’t know because I had NO more space left in my ever-growing belly!!) We have done so much together since getting married and I know we will continue to have an adventurous fun time for the rest of our lives!! I have the best husband in the world! I love you Robert!!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
