Uncle Mark's Gift





My little bro, Mark might have been just as excited as grandparents about Isabella, even though he was sure I was gonna have a boy! He has been bugging me to have kids since we got married 5 years ago! He lives closest to us, just 3 hrs away in Nashville...and therefore he saw me the most during pregnancy out of all our family. My favorite quote from him was, "I would be so scared my stomach would just bust open and split down the middle!" thanks, Mark! Isabella's due date was his birthday, June 6 and of course he really hoped she would arrive then! She took her time and came 2 days later on her Papa Stewart's birthday though!
Mark made a trip over to meet his niece for the first time while we were still in the hospital. It was fun to see him meet her as he was ecstatic to see her. Mark also surprised me with a special gift for Izzy. He had written her a poem, Fly Away and framed it with her name and he drew a tree with a swing on the glass! How cool is that for a 23 yr old Uncle to make his niece! I was very surprised and impressed that he had taken the time to make his niece such a sweet gift! Love ya Marko!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to.
