Baby Dedication

Today at our church, Sycamore View CC, they had "Baby Dedication" for all babies born since last summer. It was a special service where we were reminded that children are God's gift to us and we pledged to bring our children up in the Lord. The congregation also said they would do the same for our kiddos. When she was born, Robert & myself already knew we would do this, as would our families, but it is really nice to know that our church family is doing the same. Everyone got to see Izzy on stage -she entertained people I'm sure because she was trying to grab a small baby and the elders' glasses! After there was a meet & greet type of reception where Izzy dug into mommy's snack- ham/cheese/bread and walked around with Grammy and charmed everyone with her adorable smiles! She still has a bit of a cold, so we didn't get too close because there were a lot of tiny babies there. Izzy was the biggest by at least 10lbs!! hilarious! didn't think to take a photo of all of us on stage, but here are a few of the reception afterwards.

Still a trooper even though she is sleepy and her head is stuffed up!

Izzy's new fav is walking around public places, esp when she shes other kids running around - she was happy as can be then!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
