My Twins

The other day, Izzy and Robert ended up dressed as twins (yes, I may have something do do with that) At first they were both in white t-shirts, and I commented on how they looked similar, then I threw on her blue skirt to match her Daddy's blue shorts too - I thought it was pretty cute! These days she wont't sit still to take a picture, so these are the only pictures to show off Izzy matching Daddy.

Still stands on her tippy-toes. I think that is why she hasn't completely taken off walking yet, but she's close!


ALso, Izzy's has a new talent: hurtling herself over her toys to get where she needs to go.(Like the one in the picture blocking off the dining area). If she wants on the other side, she simply will fip herself on her belly, hurl herself over and land on her head or on her back! I was really surprised she had the strength to do that the first time I saw her do it, but I should have known she is a tough girl! She fusses when she does it, but yet, she doesn't seem to care and she just keeps doing it, even as we try to stop her - the girl has no fear!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
