Cutest Lil Patootie

When I went to wake Izzy this morning, all I saw was her lil' bootie sticking up in the air and I just had to take some picts! Normally she greets us standing, so this was a treat to see my darling angel sleeping soundly. She is an awesome sleeper, but when she hears us come in, usually she'll pop her head up.

A ton of people think I'm nuts because I actually wake my daughter up, but for the sake of routine she sleeps from 8pm - 7 or 7:30am each day (I'll let us all sleep in 30 minutes) Any later and both our days are outa wack and very unpredictable. I am flexible by 30 minutes, and she generally does the exact same thing each day. Sleep. Eat. Play. Repeat. (Thanks to BABYWISE!!! we have a nice, workable routine and a very happy, well-rested child who has slept for 10-12 hrs since 2 months of age and we almost NEVER get up with her in the night, seriously, I think I have gotten up 3 times in the night since she was 2 months old) Also, when she is older and no longer nursing, I won't care if she sleeps past 7:30 but for now, I still need her to help me out & eat by then! Hopefully she'll continue to be like me and not be an early riser! We shall see!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
