So very Thankful for God's angels

Yesterday Izzy was playing in her room after Robert had finished up painting, the windows were open and we were rearranging her furniture. I wasn't paying a lot of attention to what Izzy was doing at the window (she always plays at the windows), when I heard the screen make a noise...and as my heart about stopped, I looked over, RAN to Izzy and grabbed her.
My worst fear about living on the second floor is that she'd somehow fall out a window or go outside and fall downstairs...and yesterday Izzy could have easily fallen out of the window after she pushed the screen out. She is so strong that while pressing on the screen, it just popped off...and Izzy was just left there smiling, holding onto the ledge and wondering what happened! I got her immeidately, held her tight and tried not to be upset because everything was fine, I was just shocked. I can't imagine if anything were to happen to my sweet little girl.
Right there I said a prayer just thanking God for my little girl and for protecting her. I know His angels were surrounding her and for that I am so grateful.
We promptly closed the window and Izzy continued to play.

    Yeah, it totally freaked me out, but thankfully she was suprised and just sat there. we are so thankful she remained safe.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to.
