1st words

A week or so ago, I was crawling with Izzy on the floor when I heard one of her first precious words, Mama! I gotta say, it really made my day, and everytime I hear her saying it, I just smile!

Tonight I had just got to work when I got a call from Robert. He called to say that he was on the floor playing with Izzy and she crawled over to him and said Dada. So he got his special moment too. how cute is that?

I'm sure she doesn't connect that she said Mama to me and Dada to Robert, but I'm amazed that both times she said it appropriatly when we were playing with her on the floor...maybe it was all that coaching we did! or maybe shs just has our smart genes.(not bragging or anything!)

I'm still ahead of the game because she said Mama first, but we are both proud parents of our smart little Izzy!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
