Izzy on the farm!
To start off our vacation this week, we went to visit Aunt Rose & Uncle Terri on their farm in north Alabama, just off Muscle Shoals River. It is a beautiful place and it was good to go see some (of Robert's) family we hadn't seen in awhile.
Izzy, of course, was too excited to sleep on the drive there, but managed to fall asleep 5 minutes before arriving at the farm. We woke her up, and she got to check out several animals - the cows were the highlight for her. She seemed to really enjoy all the animals and even reached out to try and pet the big cows - she really does not get afraid of much! She also saw goats, pot-belly pigs, bulls, guineas, cats and dogs. It was a big day for a tired little girl. She is big on seeing new things and is always looking around very carefully. Within minutes, she acts like she's been there all her life - I'm amazed by how smart she is!

Izzy and I enjoyed riding around in the back of Terri's truck with the wind blowing in her hair and bouncing around. Robert was just nervous and not feeling well...poor guy!
Izzy especially loved their dog, Logan. She played with him for along time and chased him all over - they really seemed to enjoy each other company and we had a lot of fun watching them. check out this video of them here.

It is so nice that Izzy warms up to everybody within minutes and just gets busy exploring. She loved their house, and especially their patio/sun-room. She checked everything out, and enjoyed all the open space and antique things to look at.
Unfortunately Robert came down with a serious stomach bug right before leaving and I was dealing with pretty bad pain from weaning, so I think we were very fortunate to break our trip to Florida up, and that Izzy bounced along and had a blast, despite her parents feeling quiet miserable! She is such a wonderful child!
