Night life

Izzy loves to watch 3 movies: baby Mozart, baby Noah and baby McDonald...She often looks to the television with a longing look in her eye (as if she is just wishing one of the movies will come on) so cute!! So for our evening routine, we turn on one of her Baby Einstein movies for her so we can get a few things taken care around the house. She is usually dog tired, but she will sit still or at least play quietly while watching one of these. As soon as one comes on, she gets extremely excited, kicks her legs, giggles, coos and squeals! It is the cutest thing. Her favorite parts are the animal puppets, specifically when a dragon sticks his tongue out (it used to scare her) and when hippos are singing and an elephant goes nuts during their song.
At the end of a long day, Izzy sits still while snuggling with Daddy!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
