Lots of new things

This week, Izzy took a bath in the tub (without the blowup duck tub) like a big girl. She did great and explored like she'd never been in the tub before. She was especially into the spout cover which is a duck in a bikini. Unfortunatly she prefers to stand and walk around in the tub (makes me super nervous) but she was very content. Maybe soon we can find a bathmat for her to sit on -maybe that will keep her preoccupied with sitting instead!

She is also climbing more and more. Mostly into her toy box, but also, she climbs up any pillow to see what she can get things that are just slightly out of reach. She is my little monkey.

Tooth #7 & #8 are coming in. The Ped says she is ahead with so many teeth - and we love it because she is eating more & more table food! She has been a bit fussy lately because of that, and even got her first temperature. It was 101.9, so we took her to see her Ped. Seems that she a virus and/or teething as the culprit for the temp, so lots of motrin/tylenol and watcing baby einstein movies this week and she is doing great. It's hard to see such a sweet happy baby not feel good, but I enjoyed extra snuggling with her. I love it when she cuddles up to me. I'm thankful that only lasted 2 days with no other complications. She weighed 23lbs 4oz at 11 1/2 months! She is one healthy baby girl!

And the big exciting news is: after 3 months of speed cruising and cautious steps (up to 6 or 7 at a time), she officially has taken off running. just kidding - walking well and quickly! It seriously seems as though she is running at times. She can walk everywhere now, stop, go around things and change directions and continue walking. She giggles when she walks and keeps walking all over because she knows she is doing something big people do. I really have no idea when she officially started walking, but on May 22, she was no longer holding back and showed off her new skills all day!
