12 days left til Christmas...and there is so much to do!

Thankfully, Izzy has been helping us get ready for the holiday frenzy that is coming up!
Izzy seems to have "grown up" some more overnight again. Not only did she seem to shoot up another inch or two, but she is showing us more and more how much she comprehends things we say.
Tonight we were starting our bedtime routine of singing and praying to Izzy, but instead when we said lets get ready for bed, she went and laid out her pajamas and diaper and laid on it! we laughed and thought it was cute. So we jammied our sweet girl and started to sing to her on our bed (out nightly routine) However, was ready for bed and so skipped singing on our bed and headed straight to her crib and was trying to climb in and kept saying pup-pup (a puppy that stays in her crib and is her comfort lovie toy for bed). So we put her in bed and she was sound asleep minutes later. Both of us just sat there somewhat shocked that we didn't get to snuggle and sing to her and amazed at how much she is growing up! We did however enjoy half an hour of extra time to ourselves which was nice.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Grammy made homemade blueberry pancakes while Izzy and Grandpa supervised (and taste-tested) YUM!! I'm pretty sure she said Yum a lot this weekend! Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
