christmas shopping


Tonight we snuck away to go Christmas shopping for Izzy. I'll admit, Robert and I both went a bit nuts. It's so easy to think of things easy would love and we both wanted to buy her everything we saw. Thank goodness for budgets or our house would be over run with toys for her! It's going to be a lot of fun on Christmas morning to see her wake up to all her toys.
To finish up we checked out stuff for ourselves, and neither one of us really saw anything what we want. Go figure. Other than huge extravagant things, we can't come up with a wish list to save our lives. We both agree that we are blessed to have everything we need and want and happy just to be with each other and our Izzy. As the song goes, All I want for Christmas is You...Baby!

Afterwards, we enjoyed yummy burgers and a milkshake at Steak & Shake, then came home to put Izzy to bed and watch Home Alone. Sounds simple, but it was a nice night out for us.

I am beyond blessed to have been celebrating Christmas with Robert since 2002 and now Izzy brings so much joy to us, especially this time of year. Here are a few pictures of us through the years.

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
