Christmas is coming!!

December will be good. Very good. I am thrilled that the 12th month of the year is here already!
The lights are up on the house, the tree is decorated and lights up the living room for all to enjoy. The tree smells good, as does the candles and goodies I've been baking. I love this season and apparently, so does Izzy . She loves the tree and especially all the ornaments. With lots of traditions and good food and drinks to carry out I know we will have a fun filled happy month. Today, Izzy enjoyed her first cup of non-hot hot chocolate with mini marsh-mellows. It was a big hit.

Thanks to Mark we were able to get our tree and get it up and he decorated the house outside for us!

Robert says next year we'll do the house Griswold style.
Traditionally we go to Lowe's for our Christmas Tree. I dream of going to a tree farm sometime to get one though.
Izzy couldn't figure out why so many trees were at the store. We should have gone to a tree farm.
I love real trees!

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
