White Christmas...

Santa brought snow to our house!! That's right, we had a WHITE Christmas!
Not a bad way to drive home from work on Christmas morning at all, even though I was nervous all night I'd be snowed in at work and miss Christmas with the family. But it all worked out.
As usual, I have more pictures than I know what to do with.

Christmas morning, I came home to a very sleepy house. I changed into my pajamas, opened stockings with Robert and then we waited for an hour before Izzy got up at 8:30. If I'd be in bed all night, that would have been awesome, but instead I was falling asleep! So Robert and I made breakfast for everyone, and slowly everyone started coming down for present time!

Izzy enjoyed opening and then playing with everything she got, it was so much fun to watch her.

Her baby doll was her favorite, I think. She was so happy to open every gift she got.
The Slide was a big hit (but all the other toys kinda distracted from it at first)
Finally have a wagon for this outdoor girl! Can't wait until it warms up to use it lots!!
One tired Momma (I was up for 22 hrs at this point) The cold air was keeping me awake!
But still enjoying time with my family, even if we were freezing in the snow

Labor Day Weekend 2010

Another busy weekend has come and gone. It feels like we did so much with our family this weekend, but really we were all able to relax some and enjoy hanging out and playing with Izzy for the weekend. I'm thankful for the extra time with everyone. I just wish we had one more day off to do nothing now! Here are a few pictures to recap the weekend. Closer than ever

It was soooooo good to see my brother and sister. I'm glad they will get to see Izzy more too! There is so much to her personality and abilities, it is just too hard to describe her over the phone! Yesterday was a very cool day for me - I got to hang out with my brother, sister and brother in law too... hanging out might not sound like a big deal, but to us, it is exciting because for the first time in a long time - at least 7 years the 3 Voyles siblings all live in the same state. Not just that, but we are only 2 hours away from each other. We have been 10 hours apart for the last 4 years...which meant only visiting each other 3 or 4 times a year - 3 or 4 RUSHED visits is hectic and not enough time together for us. Now with Cheree and Daniel in Chattanooga and we're in Nashville (so is Mark), we're all going to be able to see each other much more often, allowing us days to just "hang out" like we used to. I literally called Cheree and Daniel on Thursday to ask so...
