Cleaning up is hard to do

As fast as Christmas came it went. 6 days with family accompanied by two overnight trips and working full time nights will wipe you out. That is a fact.
I needed the after-Christmas fairy to come and pack up the Christmas stuff when it was all over.
Robert and I spent a full evening packing things and putting them in our attic (we love all that storage space too!) but it seems like everytime we turn around, there is more Christmas stuff appearing that we forgot to pack away. Izzy must have something to do with that.

The night after we'd cleaned up Christmas stuff, Izzy was on the fussy side and we were all pretty worn out. But Robert decided he'd take her outside and let her play (she always enjoys that), even though it was freezing out. He then figured he'd take the lights down. So he pointed to a spot in the garage and then had Izzy follow him out to the front of the house. He took down 20+ strings of lights, wond them up in a ball and would hand them to Izzy each time. He wasn't sure what she was doing them, but by the time he finished with one, she'd appear, take it off and then come back. When he was finished, he found them all piled up neatly in the garage where he'd shown Izzy he'd like them. He was very impressed and came in to show me something "I'd never believe." Izzy sure does love to help, we just didn't realize how much. Now anytime we can have her help us, we ask and she jumps in and does what we ask. Maybe she'll love doing chores. At least she knows its nice to help others. I'm proud of her!
