Happy 1.5 Year Birthday to Izzy!

Wow. Izzy is 18 months old today. I can hardly believe it! She has gained 21 lbs since her birth and is learning so much each day. We love her to pieces and enjoy her fun bubbly personality. Everything she does is fun to watch. We are so blessed to have her in our lives!

When she sees us do something, she obviously doesn't forget it. She doesn't always repeat the action right away, but I'll randomly look up to see her cleaning the floor, her chair, putting up clothes, throwing away trash, sweeping, wiping her nose, putting movies away, talking on the phone, "typing on skype", mixing things in pots/pans, putting lids on things, taking laundry out of the dryer (so she can crawl in it), she even tries to cover herself with blankets like I do! If I tell her to go get in her highchair, she grabs her bib, climbs up and into the chair correctly and sits and waits for her food. She is just the cutest thing. Also, she can't say the word time-out, but if I say it (even just to remind her not to do something/she's headed towards getting in trouble) she just goes over to the designated timeout spot and sits and stares at me. It's hilarious. She really hates real time-outs though. She falls apart and can't stand it. It works pretty well.

Izzy just wakes up excited to play. She reads books and plays around the house, often choosing to get breakfast on the go so she can explore where she left off the night before. She helps with chores and also really enjoys music. I'll often find her playing while humming or dancing. She loves to sing If your happy and you know it and This little light of mine. When she hears music her little legs sway and stomp very naturally. When she's hungry she rummages through the pantry and gets herself snacks - her favorites right now are chex and raisins. She eats a ton of fruits and vegetables each day, but if she sees chips or candy, she goes nuts for them.

She continues to bloom as Miss Personality. She loves to be center of attention and to be with kids. She goes up to any child, anywhere and says Hi a million times and hugs them. She gets distressed when they don't hug back but keeps on trying anyways. She is a social girl and I can't wait to see who her best friend will be!

At night time she helps with her bath by throwing the washcloth in before hoping into the tub, then lets the water out 30 minutes later when she's done. She loves to run around in her birthday suit to dry off and is not a fan of diaper changes. She is interested in the potty, so maybe that will be our next big adventure. Then when we say its night-night time, she'll run for her room to her crib looking for her puppy and blanket. And then she sleeps all night. Sleep makes us all happy around here!
My favorite newest talent of hers is giving kisses. She puckers up when you say Kiss Kiss and she also enjoys blowing kisses when she says bye-bye. It's absolutely precious. For the longest time she only gave Robert kisses, but now I get kisses too! You'll never get a sweeter kiss than from a baby!

Izzy is very good at listening and almost always knows what we are saying to her. She is talking more than ever - all of a sudden she started repeating us and now she is up to about 60 words!! It is just adorable to hear her talk. I am also proud to say she doesn't know the word No yet, either. She just knows "Not for Izzy" means don't you dare!

As far as words go, here are a few cute words that she says.
Izzy (Isss-e), Dada (her new favorite word) * Momma and Mommy * Mark (ark) * Cheree (See) MerMer (Meeee) * Papa (Pa) * Kick * car * truck * Chex (tex) * Uh oh (for everything she shouldn't do) *snowman (noman) * Santa (Ssssana) * pickle (pickee) * cup * Stairs (tairs) * chair * up * on * off * Lights (Ights) * Nose (Nossse) * Look * Bumble Bee (BummmBee) * Hot (anything that is hot and also for any mug she sees- she thinks its hot coffee) * Candle (Keele)* Coat * Socks * Shoes *Hat (at) * Tree * Potty (pobby)* Outside (side) * Duck (quack) *Chicken (Cluck, even if we're at chik-fil-A) * Horse (Oorse) * Gobble Gobble * Rock * Dog (Gog or Pup pup) Everything that looks like a dog is a pup pup i.e. reindeer, moose, bears. * Pig (pee and she then she snorts). She mimics lots of other words, but so far she has said all of these repeadely (plus the ones I wrote about at 15 months)

Izzy can identify the following body parts too:
Nose, Ears, Eyes, Teeth, Mouth, Lips, Hair, Shoulders, Back, Arms, Fingers, Tummy, Belly button, Legs, Feet and Toes.

And since I LOVE pictures...here is Izzy over the past 1.5 years in the tub!

2 weeks old...not a fan of getting cold in water.
She looks TEENY Tiny in this picture! hard to believe that's her!!
1 1/2 months old...chunked up quickly!
Ah, Izzy figured out baths were relaxing!
4 1/2 months old and sitting up to play
Splish Splash...getting wider :)
6 months old and moved up to big girl ducky tub
not much hair then either!
Outgrowing the ducky tub at 11 months
12 months and in the big tub by herself!
more hair too!
being goofy 14 months
18 months and throwing water out at mommy and daddy while making a whirlpool
now she likes to "swim" on her belly and stick her face in the water!
It's amazing how you can outgrow a tub and learn to love water in a year!
